Infinistar is an arcade pick up and play puzzle game where your ship keeps moving and the player can only turn to line themselves up with the edges of the screen to loop around and use different force fields that activate/deactivate different parts of the ship like the cannons or the turning controls.
Made in 48 hours as part of the GMTK Game Jam 2020. The theme was "Out Of Control."
I used this project to challenge myself to finish a game and think about all the important parts of producing a finished project. It made me realise how working on the core loop of the game much quicker is more important than tinkering with the smallest details or gimmicks.
I used visual assets made by Kenney.
